The Silver Knights made their two game winning streak a three game tear! Jahaziel Gonzales put the team in front by grabbing a quick brace in the first 15 minutes. Jahaziel’s second goal came on a brilliant assist from Caleb Koeller who picked a clever pass against the grain to find #12. From there, the Silver Knights never looked back. Jordan Thompson made it 3-0 with a superb hit that found the right bottom corner. His goal was assisted by Christian Zavas who had an excellent game in the middle of the pitch. Isaiah Ferguson grabbed his first goal of the season, while Jordan nabbed his first assist of the season after a bit of hustle defensively.

In the second half, Severance kept the foot on the pedal. Tyler DiPietro captured his tenth goal of the season. That goal was assisted by Kilian Schultz. Kilian played a very unselfish game in this one. Kilian passed up multiple chances to set his teammates up. At 5-0, Aidan Campbell saw his first action on the field. Just minutes into action, Aidan saw his ball find the back of the net.. only to have the goal called back for offsides. Braden Vandenbos found the back of the net to make it 6-0 after a great individual effort where he sliced through the defense and finished cooly. This was the defender’s first goal of the year.

Erie made the game 6-1 on a free kick. Free kicks have plagued the Silver Knights this year and will certainly continue to be a point of emphasis for Coach Scharfenberg and Coach Hoffman moving forward. After conceding, Tyler DiPietro scored his second goal of the game with a signature toe poke past the keeper. After pestering the Coaches for play some attack, Dalton Lesser grabbed his first goal of the season with a silky backpost finish. Dalton’s goal was assisted by Jovanny Gonzales, who in his own right, came close to scoring on numerous occasions.

Man of the Match in this one went to Caleb Koeller. Caleb was outstanding defensively and is starting to understand his role as a center defensive midfielder. Caleb had two assists on the game and both of them were picked perfectly.
