In a sloppy game, the Severance Silver Knights picked up their second win of the season. This game saw Quinton Barkey earn his first start of the year, and he made good on the vote of confidence. After a bit of sleepwalking early, Severance jumped out to a 3-0 lead at half after goals from Jahaziel Gonzalez, Tyler Diepietro, and an own goal by Holy Family. Tyler’s goal was assisted by Jovanny Gonzalez, who in his own right, should have had a couple of goals himself. Jovanny has enjoyed an excellent season thus far, and has quickly become a leader on this young team.
Ten minutes into the second half, Tyler DiPietro struck again at the double (his second brace of the year). Holy Family scored two late goals on free kicks to grab two late goals. Both of which saw Coach Scharfenberg and Coach Hoffman visibly upset about.
Man of the Match in this one goes to Jovanny Gonzalez who played hard and had the most fire of any player on the field.
