All runners competed at the Varsity Level today at the Mead Stampede! The Mead course is a huge confidence builder heading into the conference meet on October 8th. Athletes had the most consistent race of the season, evening out paces, and sticking closer to their teammates to bridge scoring gaps. Kayden Tafoya set a girls school 5k record at 21:25, finishing 13th overall. Ethan Rios ran his best race this season finishing 2nd for our males, close behind our top runner Alexis Ajpacaja who ran a 20:45 5k. Athletes grinded through some minor injuries and illnesses, and most earned huge PRs. Great morning for a run!
