Severance High School will have the opportunity to host at least three home varsity games (and two JV games) this football season. Varsity home games will be Friday, Oct 16 (vs Alameda International), Friday, Oct 30 (vs Berthoud) and Friday, Nov 6 (vs Eaton) all at 7 pm. JV games will be Monday, Oct 26 (vs University) and Monday, Nov 16 (vs Resurrection Christian), both at 4:30 pm.
Because of Covid-19 guidelines, tickets will be severely limited on both the visiting side and home side of the stadium. Tickets for visiting teams will be sent to the school’s Athletic Director the early in week of the game. Tickets for the home team will be distributed to the coaches of the following teams: football, cheer, poms and drumline. Coaches will then get those tickets to participants. This will get us very close to the maximum allowable spectators on the home side. If there are tickets left over after this, we will make them available to the public via a drawing, two tickets for each person selected by the drawing.
Spectators will enter and exit the stadium based on the ticket number/color printed on their ticket. The ticket will get you to the gate, where payment will be remitted to grant you access to the stadium. Without a ticket, you will not be granted entry to the stadium. While in the stadium, all spectators, as well as anyone not participating on the field of play, must wear a mask as all times. Additionally, other than going to the restroom or to the concession stand (where social distance must be maintained), spectators must remain in their seat within the section and in their seat. Spectators cannot congregate along the fence, or any other area outside of their seats, before, during or after the game.

Stadium Seating: See map here
Once you’re in the stadium, there will be three areas for the home spectators to sit on the east side of the stadium, and one area for the visitor spectators to sit on the west side of the stadium. The color of your ticket will determine what area you will be seated in. Spectators will be asked to sit in the seats marked with green tape in order to maintain social distancing. Those within the same household can sit together, but social distance must be maintained from all others outside of your household.
Spectators must remain in the stands at all times with the exception of restroom use or concessions. We are also asking children to stay with their families during the game. They are not allowed to be playing in other areas of the stadium. No one from the spectator section will be allowed at field level. No congregating at the fences during and after the game. Spectators are asked to exit the stadium immediately upon completion of the game. Spectators will exit the stadium via the same route that they entered the stadium.
We are asking you to stay home if you’re feeling sick, are symptomatic, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Spectators must remain in the stands at all times with the exception of restroom use or concessions. Per CHSAA policy, we require that you wear masks at all times while at Severance High School. Spectators violating expectations will be warned once. A second violation will result in removal from the stadium. It is important that we follow all social distancing guidelines and policies. Also failure of any party to comply with expectations will result in a thorough assessment of the situation and may result in additional action, if warranted up to and including loss of privilege to attend future events.
Our ability to resume football contests is in large part contingent on the coaches, players, essential contest personnel, families, and spectators all doing their part to keep the spread of the virus down within our communities and state.
We also ask everybody to practice good sportsmanship and support the teams respectfully.
We thank you for your patience and understanding throughout the season.
Use of restrooms must follow social distancing and concessions will be open with limited product. Social distancing must be observed.
After the Game:
Spectators are asked to exit the stadium immediately upon completion of the game. So as not to crowd the exit areas, spectators will exit via the same route in which they entered the stadium.
There will be no hanging around waiting for your son inside the stadium nor will be allowed to hang out outside of the stadium. If you are driving your son home, please wait for him in your vehicle in the parking lot, away from the curb near the stadium.
Stay safe, stay healthy and good luck to both teams.
