On the morning of Saturday, September 5th, two different bus loads carted the Silver Knight XC Team to their respective locations. Due to COVID meet restrictions, Severance High School had to compete at two different meets in two different cities.
One group of runners headed to Leadville to take on a challenging course in addition to running at higher altitude. The team’s top male and female runners found themselves once again receiving recognition for their efforts. Freshman, Caden Schweer, earned a strong second place finish with a time of 17:38. Freshman, Hannah Schissler, earned a 17th place finish with a time of 24:41.
The other group of runners ran in Loveland at the Longs Peak Meet #2 at River’s Edge Park. There were multiple PRs led by freshman, Jonah Douville, who broke 21 minutes with a time of 20:39.
Severance XC has a quick turn around with the holiday weekend and will compete at the Wolverine Invite on Wednesday, September 9.
