Effective on Friday, July 17, the State of Colorado issued a mandate that face coverings over the mouth and nose must be worn when indoors at public places. Athletes and coaches in the Weld RE-4 school district will comply with the state mandate while on school property or while participating in school-sponsored activities, including practices.
Effective immediately, the wearing of masks will be required for all coaches and athletes at all times while participating in activities while indoors. For activities that take place outdoors, coaches and athletes will wear masks during the COVID-19 screening/check-in process before the activity begins and at any time that social distancing of at least six feet cannot be established or maintained. Once the screening/check-in process is completed, and social distancing is established and maintained, coaches and athletes may remove their masks. Masks must be worn again if social distancing cannot be maintained and at the end of the workout as people depart the facilities.
If a person cannot wear a mask for they will not be allowed to participate in the current offerings of indoor, voluntary workouts.
In addition to the wearing of masks in accordance with the State of Colorado mandate, all individuals will sanitize their hands as they report to and depart from the activity.
