Sophomore Carson Fagan wrapped up the first State competition for the Silver Knights yesterday in the Class 3-A State Golf Tournament, hosted on the beautiful Eisenhower Golf Course at The United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Fagan finished in a tie for 70th place, out of 84 golfers, showing improvement each day like he did all season. After a few bad breaks led to a difficult start on Monday, the resilient sophomore battled the challenging golf course to finish with what he called a disappointing opening round of 97. With a more aggressive game plan on day 2, designed take advantage of his ability to hit the long ball, Fagan bounced back with a 91, due to struggles with his trusty attack wedge and on the greens. Overall it was a great experience for him and the team to build off of after a great first season of Silver Knights golf.
